DVD front cover.

For my DVD cover I wanted a picture of Lauren when she was dancing, and showing the heartache the song paints.

I liked this image because I love the shape that Lauren is making, and think it is eye-catching. It doesn't show her face though which I think is key for the for cover as she is the brand image of our music video.

I also liked this image as the position she is in displays her loneliness and sadness in one image. I did not choose it though as I do not think it is clear enough that the dancer is Lauren. Moreover I felt it did not have the eye-catching, professional look I wanted for my DVD cover.

This is the DVD cover picture I chose as it is eye-catching, dramatic and looks professional. Furthermore the public are instantly able to recognise Lauren, and see her heartbreak and inner turmoil from the dance move she is displaying here.

All I Ask- Adele coreography

This music Video incorporates a lot of contemporary dance between a man and woman. Their moves and actions are emotive and carry a lot of power as their movements fit with the music perfectly, emphasising the songs heartbreaking theme, connecting the viewer further to the songs message. This music video covers similar messages we want to depict in our media product for 'lost without you'. We are thinking about taking similar movements they use, and they way in which speed for certain moves are have a big impact, for example the slow movements are more emphasised, making them much more effective. Unfortunately we are not able to a find a man to dance with Lauren, but we do not think this is a major issue as this just reinforces the fact she has been abandoned and is isolated.

Nature Shots

Today I filmed some shots, purely of tree branches and the sky as the background. The sky was bright blue but was a little overcast, which was perfect as it gave a really good textured and layered appearance. As the song is about her boyfriend leaving her to go travelling, the trees and sky symbolise his  freedom and him leaving. We are planning to over lay this footage with Lauren dancing, therefore her dancing on her own, on top of the open sky emphasises her loneliness and his abandonment. This will give the audience a deep, textured visual, which will also intensify their emotions towards the dancers sadness and isolation.
