Evaluation question 3
For this question, I interviewed Raffy with the same questions as my questionnaire, in order to get a more detailed response. Raffy is eighteen so fits my target audience. He also takes media so understands what features need to go in to a music video so is able to answer with a more knowledge than other people would have.
The 4 questions I asked in my questionnaire were:
1) Did you enjoy my music video? (option of yes or no)
2) Why did you enjoy it / not enjoy it? (open answer)
3) Do you think the song and video complimented each other well? (option of yes or no)
4) Would you recommend this music video to your friends? (option of yes or no)
I left the questionnaire open for 24 hours for people to do. Once closed I had received 14 responses. These were the results :
"Very good effects and the song and video flowed together nicely"
"How all the dancing scenes faded in and out in time with the music, wasn’t messy at all"
"I liked the interchanging pictures. So you could see her dancing and walking at the same time. I liked this effect and also the colours used"
"I really enjoyed the story"
"the dancing was really impressive"
"It really portrayed what the song was saying and put the message across well"
"It was edited very well!"
"Dancing with background blends well"
"The single dancer woven in with the story being told"
"It was emotional"
"pretty & interesting to watch"
"beautiful, fitted with the song and looked like it had purpose"
Before showing people my music video, I was scared people were not going to get the story line. I was also worried that people were not going to like the effects, textures and cuts I used. After reading the results of my questionnaire I was relieved to discover that people thoroughly enjoyed my music video, and understood the story line I tried get across.
